This class is designed to provide students with the basic legal skills to advise a purchaser looking to enter into a contract for the sale of business. It proposes to cover key legal issues associated with the transfer of goodwill, business name, equipment, employees and leases. The class will also cover useful pre-purchase due diligence initiatives, as well as useful risk mitigation strategies used in practice.

Young Lawyers Academy is a hands-on, results-focused training provider, offering practical short-term courses to law graduates and young lawyers who are embarking on their professional career and those who are keen to skill up in an unfamiliar practice area.
Young Lawyers Academy requires 48 hours notice via email prior to the start of a class or event for a full refund or transfer. Refunds and transfers will not be processed if cancellation occurs within 48 hours of the event commencing. We do not offer refunds for missed classes. There are no fees for refunds or transfers. Anyone partaking in any classes or coming to any events at Young Lawyers Academy or organised by Young Lawyers Academy must agree to these terms and conditions.
1.) LIABILITY WAIVER
I agree to take on full responsibility for any damages, injuries and for physical and/or personal property, which I might incur whilst participating in classes and/or events organised by Young Lawyers Academy.
2.) PHOTO & VIDEO
I agree to give Young Lawyers Academy unrestricted publishing rights for any photographs or videos taken at Young Lawyers Academy classes and events or on Young Lawyers Academy's premises. (For use of Young Lawyers Academy marketing materials).
Young Lawyers Academy requires 48 hours notice in writing prior to the class for a full refund or transfer.
In the event that a class is cancelled, students will be notified via text message or email and entitled to a full refund or credit.
