Description

In this 3.5 hour class students will be shown how to create beautiful ceramic underglaze and transfer paper pieces such as cups, bowls, plates or vases using the slab method and stencils. How to roll and cut clay, assemble securely, apply underglaze and tissue transfer paper with many different patterns to choose from. Students should be able to complete 1 to 2 pieces. All work will be painted with a clear glaze by the tutor after they have been bisque fired, then fired again ready for collection around three weeks after the class, students will be notified via email when ready to pick up.

Anna is recognised as one of Australia leading costume jewellery designers. Her work is regularly represented in fashion and bridal publications and parades including Fashion Week. Anna has many commissions from film and theatre companies and has also participated in many group exhibitions. Her design interests have extended from costume to other areas including lead lighting, mosaic, sculpture, printing and fine art techniques, millinery, and metal and theatrical costumes. Fantastic class!! Anna is a wonderful teacher and the freedom to be able to create with your own ideas in this class is awesome. Have done the pigmented clay one too and also recommend.

This was a lot of fun. I have done lots of workshops with Anna but this was my first clay class. Ollie is a natural teacher too. The results with the tissue paper transfer are amazing and everything made looks stunning even for the most inexperienced potter.
