Join our customised shiny shoe workshop, where creativity meets craftsmanship! In this hands-on experience, you'll learn to adorn shoes with metal leaf, adding a unique and luxurious touch. Participants will explore various methods of applying and sealing metal leaf, ensuring a professional finish. Suitable for all skill levels, this workshop will provide you with the tools and techniques to transform ordinary footwear into dazzling statement pieces. Take home your personalised creations and shine bright wherever you go!
This class is also available for private bookings, minimum of 6 participants.
Please specify desired colours to ensure we have enough in stock. (maximum of 3 colours)
Pale pink, hot pink, lilac, purple, bright gold, pale gold, copper, silver, black, light green, emerald green, red, light blue, bright blue. There will be other versions of most of these colours available on the day.
What you will learn
- How to prep and paint on adhesive.
- How to apply metal leaf and buff.
- How to seal with laquer.

What to bring
- Bring your own shoes or boots, leather or vinyl only.
What to wear
Casual, it will get messy. Aprons provided.

Anna Kolusniewski, a seasoned costume and jewelry designer, founded "Aa is for Art" in Melbourne's inner west after a successful career in the fashion industry. She now leads term-based visual arts programs for children and workshops for adults, while also teaching at various institutions throughout Melbourne.
Anna has collaborated with numerous nonprofit and government-funded organizations to deliver impactful art therapy programs. Recognized as one of Australia’s foremost costume jewelry designers, Anna specializes in theatrical and period styles. Her award-winning work has been featured in a variety of bridal and fashion publications, showcased at Fashion Week, and highlighted in film and theater productions. Additionally, Anna has contributed to many group exhibitions, further establishing her presence in the art community.
She believes everyone has the ability to be creative and with positive encouragement can produce beautiful artwork. She also believes creativity has a calming effect on children and builds confidence through a sense of achievement, she loves inspiring children to push the boundaries of what they think they are capable of to send them to next level.
