Description

“It’s fascinating how a pot of tea can represent at the same time the comfort of solitude and pleasure of other company”—Anonymous

Tea embodies an intriguing mix of myth, legend and science that has shaped people’s behaviour throughout history, becoming the second largest consumed beverage in the world behind water.

We’ll look at why the tea ceremony was introduced, how it shaped cultures around the world and grew to represent the comfort of solitude and the pleasure of company in the tea drinkers’ minds.

The current movement towards mindfulness and health has opened the way for the modern tea ceremony to be introduced into the café market to attract a new crowd of health-conscious drinkers.

Join me at Work-Shop as we explore new opportunities arising in tea. This workshop is suitable for café operators and tea enthusiasts interested in changing café culture.
