Growing up on a farm, fresh produce was always abundant and available to Lucy and her family. So preserving was second nature and part of everyday life. From picking buckets of peas in the paddocks, to endlessly trying the warm cooking jams on the stove top, Lucy’s enthusiasm hasn’t lessened.
She continues to enjoy preserving and trying different and unusual recipes, as well as the traditional classics, such as the annual passata/spaghetti sauce and salami making days with the family. Lucy is now enjoying the next chapter with her three children, and getting them involved in the tradition of a love of food, cooking and preserving.
