What is Kokedama

Kokedama is a style of Japanese bonsai art. Exploring the essentials of Kokedama will help you to create simple, contemporary living art decor. The class will give you a new understanding of floral art.

You will learn the basics of Kokedama in a relaxed and inspiring space, providing you with the knowledge and skills to continue designing and making at home. Azumi will introduce you to the essentials of Kokedama, and help you create your own natural work of art. Small groups allow you to share ideas and design at your own

pace. Come along and be inspired with this mediative and rewarding practice.

  • Take home your kokedama and a workshop book, outlining the concepts
    covered in class

Who is Azumi

Azumi is the founder of By Azumi, a floristry studio located in South Yarra. Azumi is

a creative, experienced florist who has worked in Japan, Europe and Australia. She

works with locally sourced, seasonal materials and favours sustainable floristry

practices.

Cancellations & Refunds

If the organiser cancels the class:

You are entitled to a full refund.

If you can't attend the class:

You’re welcome to send someone in your place.

OR

  • A refund can be requested 28 days before class starts. Free of charge.
  • A transfer can be requested 7 days before the class starts. Free of charge.
  • A credit note can be requested 14 days before the class starts. Free of charge.

No changes will be allowed after these times.

You are entitled to a full refund.


If you can't attend the class:

If you are unable to attend the class, we will transfer your booking to an alternative day or issue you a credit for no additional charge. Transfers require 7 working days' notice as we prepare materials in advance. Transfers or cancellations within 7 days require 30% of the Admin fee (prices dependant on the class), and the tuition fee can be kept as credit.

Due to our intimate class size, we do not offer refunds for cancellations or missed classes


Class Cancellations 

  • Classes are subject to sufficient enrolment numbers.
  • We reserve the right to cancel any scheduled course.
