Kokedama, meaning “moss ball” in Japanese, is a unique type of bonsai that captures the essence of Japanese aesthetics and the beauty of nature in its purest form. Rooted in Japanese culture, this art form represents a deep appreciation for nature, where each moss-covered sphere becomes a miniature landscape, connecting us to the earth in a simple, elegant way.

Take part in a kokedama workshop at ikebana artist Azumi’s studio in South Yarra, a space crafted for peaceful reflection and creative growth. In this serene environment, you’ll learn the basics of kokedama, guided by Azumi, who will introduce you to the essentials and help you create your own natural work of art. If the organiser cancels the class:
You are entitled to a full refund.
If you can't attend the class:
You’re welcome to send someone in your place.

- A refund can be requested 28 days before class starts. Free of charge.
- A transfer can be requested 14 days before the class starts. Free of charge.
- A credit note can be requested 4 days before the class starts. An admin fee of AU$45.00 applies.
No changes will be allowed after these times.

If you are unable to attend the class: We understand that plans may change. If you are unable to attend, we are happy to transfer your booking to an alternative date or issue a credit at no additional charge—provided we receive at least 7 working days' notice. This is because we prepare materials and reserve your place in advance.
Cancellations or transfer requests within 7 days of the class are subject to a 30% administrative fee (fee varies depending on the class).
The remaining tuition fee can be kept as a credit for future use.
Please note: Due to our small class sizes and limited availability, we do not offer refunds for cancellations or missed classes. Cancellations or no-shows within 24 hours of the class will be charged at 100%.
