An Introduction to working as a team with a striker.

Participants will learn the skills to create a hammer by hand from scratch.

Open to all 18+ Adults.

This workshop is expected to run for a full day from 8:30am to around 5pm.  Please en-devour to arrive by 8:15am.

Please wear enclosed boots or shoes, cotton jeans or work-pants & cotton shirt - no flammable materials.

We can supply Eye and Ear protection.

Please also bring a water bottle as it is important you are hydrated, we will have approximately a 1 hour lunch break so either bring lunch or you can purchase from nearby vendors on Burt street.

Total Fire Ban Information

If we are subject to a total fire ban we will reschedule the class,  if you're unavailable to attend the new dates we can give a refund.  We are not in control of when a total fire ban will be called, these are issued at 6pm the day before and we will be in touch if need be.

We are a not for profit association for blacksmithing, to preserve the craft and provide a facility to empower members to socialise and create artistic pieces for the benefit of their mental health and be a support for each other and the community.


We are a member of the Australian Mens Shed Association.


We offer some Beginner workshops, and when funds allow add to the list we can offer.

The hammer making class was very enjoyable. The numbers were perfectly organised so that the class ran smoothly. The teachers were knolagable and attentive. A good day out to meet like-minded people. Great day. Thanks, guys

Cancellations & Refunds

If the organiser cancels the class:

You are entitled to a full refund.

If you can't attend the class:

You’re welcome to send someone in your place.

OR

  • A refund can be requested 21 days before class starts. An admin fee of AU$25.00 applies.
