Provide First Aid - HLTAID009/10/11
First Aid is the emergency care given to an injured or ill individual before professional medical help arrives. This training teaches essential life-saving skills and equips participants with the knowledge to preserve life, protect the unconscious, prevent worsening of a condition, promote recovery, and seek appropriate medical assistance.
The course includes both online and practical components. Completion and demonstrated competency in both is required to receive the National Units of Competency:
- HLTAID009 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- HLTAID010 - Provide basic emergency life support
- HLTAID011 - Provide first aid
Following enrolment and payment, students receive login details for the online component. This must be completed prior to attending the practical face-to-face session.
Component 1 - Online Learning
- 12 sections covering theoretical knowledge, including CPR, bleeding, burns, poisoning and more
- Each section includes assessments with 100% pass marks and unlimited attempts
- Certificate of Completion provided after online training
Component 2 - Practical Training
- Hands-on training led by qualified instructors
- Practice in essential First Aid scenarios including CPR and emergency simulations
- Participants must bring the Certificate of Completion from the online component
