Grow More Medicinal Plants

Gardens are more than just beautiful – they’re deeply healing. From the scent of crushed herbs to the taste of a homegrown tisane, plants support our bodies, minds, and spirits in countless ways. In this inspiring one-hour online session, you’ll explore how to unlock the therapeutic potential of your garden and transform everyday plants into powerful allies for health and wellbeing.

This one hour online Master Class, delivered by Caroline Parker will cover:

  • The Healing Power of Gardening – discover how sunshine, soil, movement, and community bring balance to mind and body.
  • Kitchen Herbs with a Secret Side – from thyme to garlic, learn the hidden medicinal properties of the herbs you already grow and cook with.
  • New Medicinal Superstars to Grow – meet Echinacea, Chamomile, Bee Balm, Yarrow, Tulsi, Lemon Balm, and more. Learn how to grow, harvest, and use them – with recipes and real-life examples to inspire you.
  • Weeds with Benefits – chickweed, cleavers, nettle… herbalists love them for their potent healing qualities. Find out how to turn “nuisance” plants into natural remedies.
  • Smart Plant Selection – choose herbs not just for climate and soil, but for their many roles: food, medicine, beauty, pollinator support, pest control, and even compost boosters.

Whether you’re new to herbs or ready to take your garden to the next level, this session will show you how to grow a thriving, multifunctional garden that nourishes, heals, and inspires.

This session is part of a three part series called “Grow More”. Your Teacher

Caroline (BHSc Western Herbal Medicine) is an herbalist, gardener, forager and author of ‘The Medicinal Garden’. She lives in a cute little cottage in Central Victoria, surrounded by the Wombat Forest, where she grows herbs and flowers for her business, The Cottage Herbalist. When she isn’t in her studio hand-blending her award winning tea range, mixing up herbal preparations and teaching herbal medicine workshops, you’ll find her in her own Medicinal Garden - sowing seeds, picking flowers, building garden beds, turning compost, chatting to plants, cloud watching and zipping around on the ride-on mower.
