Join us at The Northern Pottery in Hornsby for a fun and colourful ceramics session where you can paint your own pottery masterpiece.
We’ll provide a range of beautiful bisque-fired ceramic pieces — mugs, bowls, plates, vases, and more — ready for you to transform with underglaze painting. You’ll learn how to use brushes, layering techniques, and colour blending to create designs that are truly your own.
Once you’ve finished painting, we’ll clear-glaze and fire your piece in our kilns to make it food-safe and glossy. Your artwork will be ready for collection a few weeks later.
This is a relaxed and social workshop — perfect for a creative catch-up with friends, a mindful solo session, or even a family day out. No pottery experience is needed, just an interest in colour and creativity.
Please note that the course fee here includes use of all studio equipment and underglazes/glaze. You will need to pick from a range of pre-made bisque pieces to decorate at an additional cost staring at $15 for a bud vase. We have a selection of items to choose from including cups, mugs, bowls and fun things too! This additional cos ca be paid on the day at the studio (cash/card accepted)
You will learn
- You’ll learn how to decorate ceramics using colourful underglazes, explore brushwork and layering techniques, and discover how to bring your own designs to life on bisque-fired pottery. It’s a creative, low-pressure way to experiment with ceramic surface design.
