Open Studio Time for Experienced Potters
This 4 week Open Studio series at The Northern Pottery is designed for potters who have already completed at least one beginner course and want dedicated time to continue developing their skills. These sessions provide access to the studio and equipment while you work on your own projects, practise techniques and build confidence on the wheel.
A teacher will be present to offer light guidance and answer questions, but the focus is on independent practice rather than structured instruction. It’s an ideal opportunity to refine forms, experiment with ideas and enjoy time making alongside other members of the studio community.
Expect relaxed, productive studio sessions where you can settle into the rhythm of working with clay and continue building your pottery practice.

Organized by
The Northern Pottery
The Northern Pottery is my clay-covered corner of Hornsby, built around creativity, community and the simple joy of making. With over 20 years of experience working with clay, I’ve created a space where people of all skill levels can slow down, get their hands dirty and enjoy the rhythm of the process.
From wheel throwing to handbuilding and everything in between, our classes are relaxed, welcoming and always just the right amount of muddy. There’s plenty of tea, good chats and no pressure to be perfect — just come along and make something!
