Drafting Techniques
This session of drafting techniques will demonstrate alternate methods of drafting and give you a chance to practise each.
All fibers for the class will be included.

You will learn
- Methods Covered, English Long draw - Using Rolags , Rocking - no need to grip when drafting from prepared fiber, helpful for sore hands.
- Roll back - for even, smooth yarns. Merino - two techniques for spinning very fine merino. From the fold - for longer fibers.

- Ability to confidently spin a continuous thread.

What to bring
- Students to bring your wheel and a bobbin, Hand Carders, and a flicker, if you have them.

Cheryl is constantly testing new (to her) techniques and conducting "what if" experiments (which have probably all been done before) and loves the variety of yarns a handspinner can create just by changing one small aspect.
