What would your pet look like in a Gauguin painting?
Come paint with me and let’s find out together!
Join me in my Coburg art studio for a relaxed, colourful and unique Paul Gauguin & Post-Impressionist Paint & Sip workshop!
With just 6–8 people per class, this is a more exclusive, personalised art experience. You’ll be creating in the welcoming surroundings of a working artist’s studio, with plenty of individual guidance, creative conversation and room to experiment.
Bring along a favourite photograph of your pet (the example shown is my girl, Astro!), and I’ll help you transform your furry friend into a vibrant, imaginative painting inspired by Gauguin’s distinctive style. If you’d rather paint a different subject — a person, flowers, a toy — that’s fine too. Think bold colours, strong outlines, simplified shapes and wonderfully unexpected landscapes!
Never picked up a paintbrush? No problem!
This workshop is designed for beginners and curious creatives alike. I’ll guide you step by step, from your first sketch and colour choices to the finished painting you’ll proudly take home.
And remember, this isn’t about getting everything right. It’s about discovering what happens when you let your imagination run wild!
Come on your own or bring a friend or two, BYO your favourite drink and something to nibble on, and enjoy a couple of hours away from the everyday hustle and bustle.
Small classes. Big imagination. Plenty of creative fun!
Places are limited to just 6–8 participants, so book your spot and come experience the joy of making art in a friendly, relaxed studio setting.

Organized by
AngNdalArt
Angela Ndalianis is a Melbourne artist who operates under AngNdalArt. She is drawn to colour, storytelling and the pleasures of visual excess. After nearly 30 years as a professor of screen media and art history, she turned her attention to making art. Her research took her from Gauguin and Bernini to horror films and virtual worlds, all in pursuit of one question: how does art make us feel?
Her paintings bring that curiosity and fascination with sensory experiences to the canvas. Bold colour and intricate line meet rhinestones, embroidery and richly textured fabrics. Sometimes strange, sometimes playful, her work invites viewers into worlds where decoration carries a story of its own.
Angela’s paintings have been shown at Brunswick Street Gallery, Fly Little Bird, Red Gallery, Linden New Art and Gallery Unbound. Her first solo exhibition, Divine Darkness: A Female Odyssey, opened at Red Gallery in November 2024. She returned in October–November 2025 with Supremacy of the Zombie Bunny, and continued exhibiting at Gallery Unbound and Linden New Art in 2026.
She has recently decided to bring together her love of art and teaching in hands-on creative workshops for children and adults. Her classes explore artistic styles, materials and techniques, including subjects like pet portraits and the fantastic. The idea is to experiment, build confidence and have a genuinely good time creating your art and finding your voice.
