Ever wondered what you, someone you love, or your favourite furry friend would look like in a Gustav Klimt painting?
Well, here’s your chance to find out!
Join Melbourne artist Angela Ndalianis for a relaxed, colourful and delightfully decorative Paint & Sip workshop inspired by the dazzling world of Gustav Klimt.
Think glorious gold, bold colours, swirling patterns, beautiful shapes and just a little bit of bling!
Held in my working art studio in Coburg, this is a boutique creative experience with just 6–8 participants. You’ll enjoy a friendly, welcoming atmosphere, plenty of individual guidance and the freedom to explore your own creative ideas.
No painting experience? Absolutely no problem!
Bring along a photograph of yourself, someone special or your beloved pet, and I’ll guide you step by step as we transform your chosen subject into a wonderfully decorative, Klimt-inspired masterpiece.
And don’t worry about getting the portrait perfect! There are several ways to approach it, depending on your confidence and how adventurous you’re feeling.
Three ways to create your portrait:
1. Paint it! Feeling brave? Try painting your portrait directly onto the canvas. You might surprise yourself!
2. Cut and collage! Bring a colour print of your chosen portrait, cut it out and incorporate it into your artwork.
3. Trace it! Use tracing paper (which I’ll provide) to help transfer your image before adding your own artistic flourishes.
Please bring a good-quality colour photograph or printout, with the face approximately 4–5 cm high. If you’re choosing the collage option, print it on thicker paper.
Once your portrait is in place, the real fun begins! We’ll explore Klimt’s gorgeous decorative techniques, playing with colour, pattern, gold leaf and embellishments to create something uniquely yours.
Small classes. Big creativity. A touch of Klimt magic!
Come on your own or bring a friend, BYO your favourite drink and some nibbles, and settle in for a couple of hours of painting, chatting, experimenting and switching off from the outside world.
Everything you need to create your artwork is provided, and beginners are very welcome.
You’ll leave with your own Klimt-inspired artwork — and perhaps a newfound love of painting!
Places are limited to just 6–8 participants, so book your spot and join me for a little creative indulgence.

Organized by
AngNdalArt
Angela Ndalianis is a Melbourne artist who operates under AngNdalArt. She is drawn to colour, storytelling and the pleasures of visual excess. After nearly 30 years as a professor of screen media and art history, she turned her attention to making art. Her research took her from Gauguin and Bernini to horror films and virtual worlds, all in pursuit of one question: how does art make us feel?
Her paintings bring that curiosity and fascination with sensory experiences to the canvas. Bold colour and intricate line meet rhinestones, embroidery and richly textured fabrics. Sometimes strange, sometimes playful, her work invites viewers into worlds where decoration carries a story of its own.
Angela’s paintings have been shown at Brunswick Street Gallery, Fly Little Bird, Red Gallery, Linden New Art and Gallery Unbound. Her first solo exhibition, Divine Darkness: A Female Odyssey, opened at Red Gallery in November 2024. She returned in October–November 2025 with Supremacy of the Zombie Bunny, and continued exhibiting at Gallery Unbound and Linden New Art in 2026.
She has recently decided to bring together her love of art and teaching in hands-on creative workshops for children and adults. Her classes explore artistic styles, materials and techniques, including subjects like pet portraits and the fantastic. The idea is to experiment, build confidence and have a genuinely good time creating your art and finding your voice.
