Wet Felting Christmas Decorations

Attendees will learn to make decorative and textured flat felt. Ideas for decorations which can be made by cutting and stitching the felted pieces together will them be demonstrated.
Whether you're brand new to felting or looking to refine your skills, this workshop offers the perfect balance of structure and creative freedom and opens the door to more intricate and expressive felting projects in the future.

Preparation
What to bring
- An old towel, 2 x plastic bags, scraps of wool yarn, sewing kit with needles and embroidery thread.
- FIbre and materials for felting will be provided, but students are welcome to bring their own wool, silk or plant fibre as well (no superwash, it won't felt!)).
- Piece of dowel or plumbers' pipe 2 cm thick, at least 40 cm long

Jill Preston is a textile artist and felt maker who is the current secretary of the Victorian Feltmakers Inc. She loves making bright and colourful wet-felted items.
