2-day Damascus Making workshop

Beginner Pattern Welded Steel Workshop

2-days forge welding using our power equipment

• Prepare the Billet from 1084 and 15n20 steels
• Forge weld under power hammer and draw out material
• Clean and restack to multiply layer count
• Go through some options of patterning the layers

You will follow along all steps of this process and take home all you make over the weekend.

We will supply all materials and consumables.

Open to all 18+ Adults.  Aimed at makers who make knifes and would like to make some Damascus!

This workshop will run for a full day from 8:30am to around 5pm.  Please en-devour to arrive by 8:15am.

Please wear enclosed boots or shoes (not sneakers), cotton jeans or work-pants & cotton shirt - no flammable materials.

We can supply Eye and Ear protection.

Please also bring a water bottle as it is important you are hydrated, we will have approximately a 1 hour lunch break so either bring lunch or you can purchase from nearby vendors on Burt street.

We are a not for profit association for blacksmithing, to preserve the craft and provide a facility to empower members to socialise and create artistic pieces for the benefit of their mental health and be a support for each other and the community.

We are a member of the Australian Mens Shed Association.

We offer some Beginner workshops, and when funds allow add to the list we can offer.
