Description
Make your own natural, skin-nourishing soap - good for you, good for the earth and so much fun to make!
In this artisan workshop, Rebecca will guide you through creating your own natural soap loaf using the traditional cold process method. You’ll learn how to safely work with lye, mix ingredients and incorporate aromatic essential oils and botanicals, so you know exactly what’s going into your soap and onto your skin.
What You’ll Learn
- How to use the cold process soap-making method
- Safely working with lye (caustic soda), essential to soap-making
- Adding essential oils and botanicals to preserve their properties
- The equipment and tools needed to make soap at home
- How to de-mould, cut, store and cure your soap.
What You Get
- All materials to create an entire loaf of soap, including premium oils, body butters and Rebecca's favourite essential oils, clays and botanicals.
- Reusable silicon mould (yours to keep), which allows the soap to cure for 1–3 days.
- Your soap loaf can be cut into 8–12 beautiful bars and will need 4 additional weeks to fully cure before use.
- A detailed handout with essential soap-making information, supplier details and Rebecca's go-to recipe for continued soap making at home.
- Please bring a bag to carry your soap in its mould and a towel to keep it warm.
