Blacksmithing classes include all materials, lunch, snacks, and tool use in the course cost. Sewing classes provide all tools including fabric shears, pinking shears, thread snips, unpicker, hand needles, tape measures, pins, and tailor's chalks. Check your specific class description for material details.

  • Class durations vary. Jewellery making courses run as 5-week programs with 3.5-hour classes per week. Blacksmithing introduction spans 2 days. Private sewing lessons are 3 hours long. Raku firing workshops run 3 hours (10am-1pm). Knitting machine basics is a 6-hour session. Check individual class listings for specific session lengths and total course duration.

  • Most classes welcome beginners. Introduction to Jewellery Making Stage 1 requires no experience. Welding for Beginners and blacksmithing introduction courses are designed for novices. However, intermediate pottery and advanced wheel throwing courses require completion of at least two terms at beginner level or equivalent experience. Confirm your level with the instructor before booking if unsure.

Most blacksmithing, jewellery, pottery, and sewing classes are in-person, requiring access to equipment and materials. Some instructors offer private lessons.
