Concord Beginners Swing/Lindy Hop Course
Description
Shy on the dance floor? Think you have two left feet? Never fear, come dance with the Swing Katz and learn some fun new steps you can try out on the dance floor.
In this beginners swing and rock n roll course you will learn the basics steps of this dance, as well as having fun meeting new people and socialising.
This course is aimed at complete beginners, so no previous experience is necessary.
Please note, it is recommended to start within the first 2-3 weeks of start of course (22nd March 2023), to ensure you learn the basic step.
Dress comfy and no partner required.
Covid safety plan in place to ensure your safety, with hygiene practices in place, and sign in.

What you will learn
- Gain confidence on the dance floor.
- Learn to lead or dance with a partner (but not required).
- The basic steps and understanding of Swing

The Sydney Swing Katz troupe was established in 2000 and is comprised of many talented, vibrant, young and enthusiastic dancers from Sydney, Australia. They have performed alongside some great musicians and artists such as The Beach Boys, John & James Morrison, The Bloody Beetroots, Lanie Lane, Belles Will Ring, United Dance Works (UDW), Ignatius Jones, Rhonda Burchmore, The Velvet Set & Monica Trapaga just to name a few. They also have earned the respect of their peers in the world of dancing through many years of competing and teaching.
Have fun learning how to dance Swing, Lindy Hop, Rock n Roll or Latin. We can help you no matter whether you want to social dance, get fit, compete or perform. No partner necessary.
Private lessons also are available on request, either at our studio or 'on the road' at a location convenient for you.
Cancellations & Refunds
If the organiser cancels the class:
You are entitled to a full refund.
If you can't attend the class:
You’re welcome to send someone in your place.
OR
You may cancel anytime before class starts and claim a full refund or transfer or credit note.
We recommend the refund upgrade option upon checkout in case you’re not able to attend the class. Learn more about refund upgrade option.
Terms & Conditions
Anyone partaking in any classes or coming to any events at Swing Katz or organised by Swing Katz must agree to these terms and conditions.
1.) LIABILITY WAIVER
I agree to take on full responsibility for any damages, injuries and for physical and/or personal property, which I might incur whilst participating in classes and/or events organised by Swing Katz.
2.) PHOTO & VIDEO
I agree to give Swing Katz unrestricted publishing rights for any photographs or videos taken at Swing Katz classes and events or on Swing Katz's premises. (For use of Swing Katz marketing materials).
