CONFIDENT KIDS Yr 2-3 Wednesday (3.00-4.15pm)

CONFIDENT KIDS Yr 2-3 Wednesday (3.00-4.15pm)

Randwick Public School

Over 10 people have attended this class

Description

This is an 8 week program that runs after school on WEDNESDAY during term time. Students may join during the term and are reimbursed for classes they did not participate in.  Interested students may also participate in a free trial class by emailing The Speech School prior to Wednesday classes.

The program is designed for Year 2-3 students and will cover a wide range of speaking-based activities and theatre skills. Key components include preparing and presenting speeches, delivering prose, poetry, storytelling and impromptu speeches. The CONFIDENT KIDS objective is to develop confidence and remove the fear that can come with public speaking and performance. The non-competitive, FUN, creative, positive and encouraging environment allows students to take risks and enjoy games and challenges without feeling pressure. We find in this setting that acts of courage from students brush off on others who might not normally enjoy participating.

Supervision for snack and play starts from 3.00pm with classes starting at 3.15pm and finishing at 4.15pm.

Our speech classes cater for all levels and provide time for students to practise and improve the vital skill of public speaking. We aim for these skills to stay with students throughout their school years and their lives.

Late Bookings: If you wish to enrol after the beginning of the term or would like a trial class please email The Speech School directly at thespeechschool@gmail.com or https://www.thespeechschool.com.au/
