Description

A six hour workshop making a flowing casual coat.  Fabulous over slacks, dresses, jeans, swimsuits - ridiculously versatile!

Through fabric choice your coat can be casual-chic or fabulously glamorous.

The Kathleen Casual Coat can be made in three different lengths (calf, hip or waist), it features gathers, cuffs, French seams, neck band and a narrow hem (cuffs and neck band can be made from contrasting fabric).  For an easier level; select woven fabric like rayon or cheese cloth, advanced students can select fine silks and super slippery fabrics for a challenge.

Loved the Kathleen Kimono workshop. I chose the course because I wanted to learn about French seams and gathers. But I chose a really drapey rayon and cut it at waist length and actually love the jacket. It's a cute pattern and dips down at the back perfectly. Thanks Hayley and TD team!

This class was lots of fun. I loved learning how to do pleats and French seams. I found the rolled hems quite hard to do, but once I got into the grove of it, I got it done. I love this jacket design and have already made 2 more.

I picked up some good tips on pinning techniques, fabric placement (and extending the grainline on the pattern to make it easier) and plenty more. Jen was able to offer something for each of our skill levels in the class. I really enjoyed it!
