Class Selection:
- Class Times: Please select your preferred class time.
- Age Groups: Primary Classes: Prep - Grade 5 | Secondary Classes: Grade 6 - Grade 12
Term Details:
- Term Four Commencement Date: Tuesday, 7th October 2025
- Duration: 6 weeks
End-of-year student exhibition:
- When: The exhibition will be open to the public 8th - 14th November during university opening hours
- Student Event: Saturday 15th November 10am - 11am (Agenda: 10am - 10:30am exhibition viewing, 10:30am -10:45am Speeches and student secret santa, 10:45-11am students collect work from walls and whole school photo)
- Where: University of Southern Queensland School of Creative Arts A-Block Gallery
Drop-off and Pick-up:
Please drop off and pick up students within 5 minutes of class start and finish times at the door.
Curriculum:
Term One: Works on Paper
- Explore a new theme each year using mediums such as watercolour, drawing, markers, and collage.
Term Two: Printmaking
- Create an artist book filled with a variety of printmaking techniques.
Term Three: Sculpture
- Engage in a range of clay, construction, and textile techniques.
Term Four: Painting
- Develop an acrylic work on canvas based on personal conceptual development, to be showcased at our annual student exhibition event.

No refunds for change of mind or missed classes. Refunds are only provided if required under Australian Consumer Law. By booking, you agree to this policy.

You will learn

- Each student will receive an art journal to document lessons and experiment with ideas, which they may take home at the end of the term.
- 1-hour sessions in a dedicated art studio facilitated by a professional, practicing artist.
- A safe, inspiring space designed for creative fun, and a supportive group of like-minded young artist.

What to bring
- All materials supplied—just bring your curiosity.
- Water Bottles: Students should bring their own water bottle.
What to wear
We recommend students wear appropriate clothing, as classes can get creatively messy and stains may occur.

At Tinker, we strive to provide high-quality workshops and creative experiences.
Please read the following policy carefully:
1. Customer Responsibility
It is the customer’s responsibility to thoroughly read the details provided in the booking listing at the time of booking. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Class date and time
- Location of the event
- Age suitability and requirements
- Materials provided or to be brought
2. Missed Classes:
Tinker cannot offer refunds or rescheduling for missed classes due to personal circumstances, including forgetting the scheduled time or date.
3. Incorrect Address or Late Attendance:
- Tinker will not be held responsible for customers arriving at the wrong address. The correct address is always provided in the booking confirmation.
- Customers arriving late may be unable to participate fully in the session and will not be entitled to a refund or make-up class.
4. Changes and Updates:
- Tinker reserves the right to update these terms and conditions without prior notice. Customers are encouraged to review them periodically.
Tinker Refund Policy
At Tinker, we strive to provide high-quality workshops and creative experiences. Our refund and exchange policy is in accordance with Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Please read the following policy carefully:
1. Change of Mind
- Tinker does not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind.
2. Missed Workshops
- No refunds or exchanges are provided if a customer misses a workshop due to not recording or misplacing workshop details at the time of booking.
3. Reasonable Considerations for Missed Workshops
A refund or exchange may be considered for missed workshops if prior notification is given:
- Notification must be made via email or phone at least 1 hour before the scheduled class commencement.
- Reasonable consideration will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
4. Consumer Guarantees
- In compliance with Australian Consumer Law, refunds or exchanges will be provided if a workshop or product fails to meet a consumer guarantee, such as being fit for purpose, unsafe or as described.
5. Exceptions to Refunds and Exchanges
Refunds or exchanges will not be provided where:
- A service or product was requested to be done in a specific way that contradicted Tinker’s professional advice, and the issue resulted directly from this request.
- The problem with the product or service was caused by misuse, abuse, or failure to follow instructions provided by Tinker.
