Description
BEGINNER & BEYOND 4 or 5 WEEK SEWING COURSE
Let's really get sewing! This 5 or 10 week Learn to Sew course is for those who want to get sewing fast and consistently!
** BOOK THE WHOLE TERM OF EVENING CLASSES TO RECEIVE $50 OFF - JUST CHOOSE THAT TICKET OPTION WHEN YOU CHOOSE THE DAY YOU WOULD LIKE TO BOOK.
** Please note that this class is an open level class. There will be sewists at different stages in your class. You will still get super personalised attention!
BEGINNERS:
Each week we will build on the skills learnt from the precious week. The first two weeks will focussed on learning how to thread your machine, sew some basic stitches and sew a curved line plus hem, ending with making a tote bag in week one and two. We'll then move onto PJ shorts.
Skill level: Complete beginner - bring your machine in the box!
BEYOND BEGINNER:
Whether you have sewn a little bit or a lot, this is a time for you to focus on that learning, a tricky technique, pattern or skill. It's also a chance to get that project you have been wanting to tackle for ages, started and hopefully finished!
In this course, you will bring your own project/s to work on with the guidance of a sewing teacher. We find that if you work on a project that interests you, or suits you best, you learn more and have more fun!
Skill level: Has sewn before & can thread your machine.

Helping Each Other: Foster a collaborative environment. Members are encouraged to share skills and provide constructive feedback.

Credit Original Work: Always credit the original designers, patterns, or inspiration for your projects when sharing in the studio or on social media.
Attendance and Participation
Regular Attendance: Regular attendance is encouraged to foster a strong community and also impacts class numbers and if that class can go ahead. Notify us if you will be absent for an extended period as your booking could have been taken by another willing student.
Active Participation: Engage actively in studio activities and discussions. Your ideas and contributions help enrich our community.
Conflict Resolution
Addressing Issues: If conflicts arise, address them respectfully and seek mediation from studio teachers if necessary.

Feedback with Compassion: When giving feedback, do so with compassion and respect. Be sensitive to the feelings of others and offer constructive critiques that aim to uplift and assist, rather than demean.
Addressing Unacceptable Behaviour: If you witness or are subject to unacceptable behaviour, please report it to the teachers promptly. Confidentiality and appropriate measures will be taken to address the issue.
