In this full day, 2 session class students will learn everything you need to know to make vibrant cupcakes and cookies and create acrylic mixed media cupcake paintings. Beginning with drawing designs on paper first, colouring gloss frosting and filling piping bags then colouring fondant icing, rolling flat and cutting shapes using icing stamps. Because of time restraints the tutor will pre cook red velvet cupcakes and cookies ready for decorating. Then the fun begins with piping the frosting onto cakes, adding fondant decorations and sprinkles with many different options available.
In the afternoon session students will create an acrylic mixed media masterpiece on canvas, beginning with sketching a design on paper, transferring onto a canvas, making a textured background and layering acrylic paint to create shading and form. Once dry pieces will be embellished with paper and paint pens.
