We’ve all seen those idealistic Instagram hashtags – #ethical #fairtrade #organic #sustainable – but what does it all really mean. We might think it’s only certain types of food that fit into these labels, but what about what we drink?
And we’re not talking about your daily caffeine fix. What about the ingredients of your favourite cocktail? Have you ever contemplated how the rum in your mojito is sourced or where the gin in your gimlet comes from? Did you know that some spirits are produced more ethically than others?
The fabulous guys at FAIR Spirits set about to make a difference and this workshop is here to show you how they did.
Hosted by Noble Spirits, the Australasian distributor of FAIR Spirits we will take you through the concepts of fairtrade and sustainable production and what makes a brand organic certified.
We will follow the journey of the people involved in the process, introducing you to FAIR spirits, with their original ingredients and unique tasting notes.
During this you will taste each of the products, working through the themes of ethical production, whilst understanding some great cocktail and food matching tips along the way.
Tickets are $75 for the 90 minute masterclass, arrival cocktail and tastings, including a goodie bag with a bottle of the delicious FAIR Goji Liqueur (RRP $31) and one more FAIR brand miniature (RRP $5) to take home.
Also available is a ticket without the FAIR Goji Liqueur for $55.
About Gregoire Bertaud
Grégoire is the founder and owner of Noble Spirits, he was inspired to create the business in late 2013 with the idea of enriching alcohol brand choices for consumers – supporting better prices, decent working conditions, local sustainability and fair terms of trade for farmers in the developing world.
With more than eight years of consulting and marketing experience in the wine and spirits Industry, Grégoire discovered his passion for fine alcoholic beverages whilst working for Grand Marnier® in the UK. With his experience in the UK, France and Australia, Grégoire has a global knowledge of brands, consumer needs and future trends.
Outside of his work life, if you can’t find Grégoire in a great cocktail bar or a nice restaurant, you might find him kitesurfing on one of Sydney’s beautiful beaches.

Refunds and transfers will not be processed if cancellation occurs within 48 hours of the event commencing. We’ll do our darndest to run all scheduled classes, however, let’s face it… sometimes shit happens! Most of our classes must have a minimum of 5 participants before we can put them on. In the event that a class is cancelled, students will be notified via text message or email and entitled to a full refund or credit.
Anyone partaking in any classes or coming to any events at Work-Shop or organised by Work-Shop must agree to these terms and conditions.

2.) PHOTO & VIDEO
I agree to give Work-Shop unrestricted publishing rights for any photographs or videos taken at Work-Shop classes and events or on Work-Shop’s premises. (Don’t worry, we’ll only these use to show others how much of a rad time you’re having through social media, newsletters, blogs, website and general Work-Shop promo material)
