We’ve all seen those idealistic Instagram hashtags – #ethical #fairtrade #organic #sustainable – but what does it all really mean. We might think it’s only certain types of food that fit into these labels, but what about what we drink?
And we’re not talking about your daily caffeine fix. What about the ingredients of your favourite cocktail? Have you ever contemplated how the rum in your mojito is sourced or where the gin in your gimlet comes from? Did you know that some spirits are produced more ethically than others?
The fabulous guys at FAIR Spirits set about to make a difference and this workshop is here to show you how they did.
Hosted by Noble Spirits, the Australasian distributor of FAIR Spirits we will take you through the concepts of fairtrade and sustainable production and what makes a brand organic certified.
We will follow the journey of the people involved in the process, introducing you to FAIR spirits, with their original ingredients and unique tasting notes.
During this you will taste each of the products, working through the themes of ethical production, whilst understanding some great cocktail and food matching tips along the way.
Tickets are $75 for the 90 minute masterclass, arrival cocktail and tastings, including a goodie bag with a bottle of the delicious FAIR Goji Liqueur (RRP $31) and one more FAIR brand miniature (RRP $5) to take home.
Also available is a ticket without the FAIR Goji Liqueur for $55.
