Description

Take some time for yourself!  You will learn all the basics needed to feel confident in your drawing abilities, and will have the opportunity to experiment with coloured pencils.

We will take you through the basics of botanical drawing, learning all about the techniques of drawing colour, shading, and lighting.

Fresh flowers will be in abundance to get your creative juices flowing!  After a few hours, you'll be able to go home with your very own piece of artwork which you will treasure forever.

About Carmen 

Carmen is an artist/illustrator from Sydney’s Inner West. She creates original pencil drawings and art prints with a focus on animals and botanicals. Her work are extremely delicate and whimsical and have many times in the past been referenced to Beatrix Potter. Her drawings are highly collectible and has been seen in a range of group and solo exhibitions around Australia.

The artist was really sweet but the lighting was really bad, you could barely see what she was demonstrating so it was hard to learn anything from her. It was really hard to see what we were drawing because the lighting was so bad. There weren't enough flowers, some vases had 2 flowers, some had 4-5... people had to share which made it tricky. Complementary tea and/or water would have gone a long way.

Learnt that I love drawing with Watercolor pencils. The highlight was using color to capture the roses.
