Drawing inspiration from Māori kōwhaiwhai patterns, young people will be taught to create their very own forms and symbols to produce wood block stamps. This workshop will introduce basic wood cutting and printmaking techniques, as well as develop drawing and painting skills on both paper and plywood. No prior skill required, just bring a passion for patterns and colours.
Youth Arts Workshops offer young people between the ages of 13 and 18 the opportunity to explore and experiment with a range of different art forms. These holidays participants can choose to learn about wood cutting and printmaking and bone carving.

The Corban Estate Arts Centre is located in Henderson, West Auckland.
We’re home to artist studios, our very own cafe, art classes for adults, youth and children, and an ever-changing programme of exhibitions and events.
Set within park-like groundsamongst historic winery buildings. Open 7 days a week, entry is free, everybody’s welcome.
o An administration fee of $20 per booking applies to all refunds.
o A FULL refund (less Admin fee) will be given if you withdraw from a class/workshop 5 working days or more before the start date
o NO refund will be given if you withdraw from a class/workshop less than 5 days before the start date.
o NO refund will be given if you withdraw after a class/workshop has commenced. However, participants are welcome to transfer to another class/workshop or accept a credit for another class/workshop taking place at a later date.
o Refunds can take up to 10 working days to process.
Some classes/workshops require a variation to these terms and conditions; please check your confirmation as the T’s and C’s variation will supersede regular terms and conditions.

Enrolments are taken on a ‘first in first served’ basis.
Payments must be made in full in order to confirm your booking. A booking confirmation and a materials list will be provided upon full payment.
CEAC reserves the right to cancel or postpone any class that does not reach a viable enrolment number. If a class is cancelled, you will be notified no less than 4 days before the start of the class, and a full refund will be given.
Please be advised that your contact details will be made available to your Workshop Tutor who may need to contact you over the duration of your course. Please notify us if you prefer that we do not do this.
