26 July 2019 • Creative Drama

Usually children's courses are very good but this was supposed to be creative drama for up to 12 years. My son is just turn 11 yrs and he spent over 2 hrs making a puppet. The choice was a sock ( they ran out) a lolly pop stick (also ran out) so he had to make a stick from rolled up paper and then draw a figure and decorate it with googley eyes etc. The next day was to be to do a puppet show. The only drama he did was to write script and act it out with his partner but the child he was partnered with did not read or write English so it was a complete fail. No feed back or instruction on how to improve was given by teacher This activity lasted about 20 mins The rest was games This is NOT a drama course. It is also not suitable for over around 8 years. He refused to go the next day as in his own words "I am not 5" We did get a refund for the next day. If your child is into puppets then they will have a good time but its for younger kids.
