Spend 2 hours with one of our skilled tutors in the studio. 

With private tuition we're able to pinpoint and issues that maybe holding you back or drop a few tasty tips that make your clay life a lot easier.

We cover all aspects of pottery and can tailor lessons for your needs.

  • Beginner Skills - Wedge, Center, Open and Pull
  • Intermediate - Throw large, Handles, Joins etc

You will get

  • Pieces from your lesson will be trimmed & glazed by us. Please let us know if you would like something different.

  • Please bring an old towel to keep yourself clean.

Excellent, knowledgeable 2 hours of being taught by Jamie. He's an experienced, patient and skilled potter and craftsman. I recommend this one-on-one tuition to gauge whether or not you would like to continue. Very worthwhile and enjoyable. And best of all you end up with a product you have made yourself !! What's not to like?

Loved this workshop. Lots of great conversations and left with a newfound skill that I am excited to pursue more! Tom was patient and also a fab teacher.

The three of us spent the morning with Tom learning how to make an ashtray on the wheel - he kept expectations low (smart man)! We ended up leaving having made a bowl, mug, vase and an ashtray - stoked! A great way to spend a few hours learning something fun and new.

Cancellations & Refunds

If the organiser cancels the class:

You are entitled to a full refund.

If you can't attend the class:

Youโ€™re welcome to send someone in your place.

OR

  • A refund can be requested 1 day before class starts. An admin fee of NZ$50.00 applies.
  • A transfer can be requested 2 days before the class starts. Free of charge.

No changes will be allowed after these times.

We recommend the refund upgrade option upon checkout in case youโ€™re not able to attend the class. Learn more about refund upgrade option.

Terms & Conditions

Anyone partaking in any classes or coming to any events at Kiln Studio or organised by Kiln Studio must agree to these terms and conditions.

1.) LIABILITY WAIVER

I agree to take on full responsibility for any damages, injuries and for physical and/or personal property, which I might incur whilst participating in classes and/or events organised by Kiln Studio Ltd

2.) PHOTO & VIDEO

I agree to give Kiln Studio unrestricted publishing rights for any photographs or videos taken at Kiln Studio classes and events or on Kiln Studio premises. (For use of Kiln Studio marketing materials).
