Our Remote Pilot’s License course uses the latest CASA endorsed guidelines and syllabus from June 2017. The changes from the old syllabus represent a significant lifting of standards in terms of provider quality requirements and course content and reflect the latest in pilot knowledge and skill requirements.

We are an industry-based training provider, with current clients including Aerodyne (one of the world’s largest drones-as-a-service provider), Macutex (a large asset management company), Engage Marine (a marine services provider), Glencore Mining, Southern Cross Group International (a security company), and Stevtech (an agricultural drone services provider), among others.
Our clients demand highly trained pilots, and so our course is designed to produce them. We designed our course based on industry needs, so it comprises an online component (takes a few days depending on your background knowledge), and an in-class plus practical training component (7 days combined).

- Learn to become a licenced Remote Pilot. Our facility at The Centre of Drone Excellence at Lardner Park is second to none.
- Successful completion will result in you receiving a Remote Pilot Licence from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority.
You need to wear safe clothing such as sturdy footwear. Also bring sunglasses and sunscreen.
Trainees must be over 16 years of age.

Institute for Drone Technology requires 48 hours notice via email prior to the start of a class or event for a full refund or transfer. Refunds and transfers will not be processed if cancellation occurs within 48 hours of the event commencing. We do not offer refunds for missed classes. There are no fees for refunds or transfers. For cancellations prior to the 48 hour cut off, email Institute for Drone Technology to organise a refund or transfer
Anyone partaking in any classes or coming to any events at Institute for Drone Technology or organised by Institute for Drone Technology must agree to these terms and conditions.
1.) LIABILITY WAIVER
I agree to take on full responsibility for any damages, injuries and for physical and/or personal property, which I might incur whilst participating in classes and/or events organised by Institute for Drone Technology.
2.) PHOTO & VIDEO
I agree to give Institute for Drone Technology unrestricted publishing rights for any photographs or videos taken at Institute for Drone Technology classes and events or on Institute for Drone Technology's premises. (For use of Institute for Drone Technology marketing materials).
Institute for Drone Technology requires 48 hours notice in writing prior to the class for a full refund or transfer.
In the event that a class is cancelled, students will be notified via text message or email and entitled to a full refund or credit.
