Weatherproof Your Home
Description
Summer is around the corner, and there’s nothing worse than sweating indoors. It’s the perfect time to make sure your home is well insulated!
Join Lucinda and Chris in this workshop to learn some simple and cost-effective techniques to keep your home cool this summer, and warm next winter. Including:
- Lucinda (Going Green Solutions) will be talking about draughts, why they matter and the main ways to seal them.
- Chris (EcoMad) will demonstrate common draught-proofing techniques that you will be able to implement at home.
Draught-proofing stops hot air from entering your home in summer and warm air from escaping in winter, saving you money and making your home more comfortable.
- Up to 25% of winter heat loss from existing houses is caused by air leakage (also known as draughts).
- In fact 9 out of 10 homes in Victoria have unwanted draughts.
- Luckily, draught proofing techniques and principles are easy to grasp and do not cost a great deal to implement.
Everyone is welcome to attend this workshop, whether you are a home owner or renter.
You will receive some take home draught-proofing supplies, please bring along a small carry bag.
