This 2 Hour ceramic workshop explores hand building techniques that will allow you to create your own unique vessel. You will be guided through the foundations of hand building and encouraged to explore your own creativity in a welcoming environment.
Using techniques such as pinching , coiling and joining, you will gain the skills to create a functional piece that will be glazed and fired after completion. These techniques can be used for vessels such as mugs, vases and bowls.
This workshop also aims to help people to connect to their creativity and to play, all whilst having fun getting messy with clay!
Please wear comfortable clothing and closed in shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty!
You will be able to collect your finished piece 3 -4 weeks after the workshop, once it has been glazed and fired.
No prior experience is necessary! This workshop is perfect for beginners and anyone looking to include more creativity in their lifestyle!

Course Tutor - Susi Langdon
Susi is a Melbourne based artist and art therapist. She is a firm believer in the power of creative expression to promote wellbeing and foster a connection to authentic self. She aims to encourage others to explore their own creativity, focusing on the process of making rather than the finished product.
In her ceramic practice, Susi explores connection to place by incorporating wild clays that she uses in her symbolic forms. Susi is currently exploring the ‘Cocoon’ in her ceramic practice. View her work here.
