Want to do a pottery class but need a bit of flexibility then our classes are for you. From beginners through to potters of all levels, this class is structured to help you learn to improve your skills on the wheel or try your hand at sculpting or hand building. Come along and enjoy a fun and relaxed class while learning new skills.
You can choose from our popular, one-time experience Wheel Taster Class, designed to teach new students the basics of throwing on the wheel, or a Casual Weekly Class.
When: Monday Night - 6pm to 8.30pm
What you will learn:
- How to centre your clay on the wheel
- How to form cylinders
- How to create simple bowl forms
When you choose the Wheel Taster class you get to skip most of the technical stuff and will get away with not having to knead your clay or finish your pieces. We will have the clay all prepared for you and will teach you the basics of throwing and help you to make a few basic forms. Then, all you need to do is come back and pick up your masterpieces around four weeks later.
All materials and firing are included in the Wheel Taster class price, materials and firing are extra for Casual Weekly Classes. Sajo Ceramics Staff will finish your pieces for you after the Wheel Taster class only.
For Casual Classes, you will need to purchase a $20 tool kit, and $18 for clay for the first class, subsequent classes are $35.00 per class.
