Description

We are thrilled to be offering Pottery Classes Just for Kids over the January School Holidays. 

A fun and safe environment for your children to develop their pottery skills and explore their unique creativity both on the Wheel and Hand Building. Classes are capped at no more than 10 children in each class, allowing for as much or as little information as they require. 

Ages 8-12 years. 

No experience necessary.


The teachers for this class are Sarah Schembri and Ang Cuy.

Both tutors have a Victorian Working with Children Check.


Cancellations & Transfer Policy

Bookings cancelled up to 7 days prior to the class date will be refunded in full. Bookings cancelled 7 days or less before the class date will be refunded only if the vacancy can be resold at full price. If not resold the purchase price is forfeited. Alternatively, you are welcome to transfer your ticket to another person (please advise name of alternate within 24 hours of function).

What you will learn

  • learn how to make small bowls on the wheel and hand build.

What you will get

  • A set of your creations made on the day. Students will be notified once work has been glazed and ready to collect.
Parking Info

Please also note, that if you are driving you cannot park on Kent St as it’s permit only, try St David St or Moor St.

  • An apron or old shirt and large towel ( for the wheel)

What to wear

Casual comfortable clothes and closed in footwear.

Your Teacher

Teachers: Sarah Schembri, Ang Cuy 

Ang has extensive experience in working with kids and young people in the arts for more than 30 years. She is the founding and current Artistic Director of the WMTC junior theatre program. 

A practising potter herself, she is able to combine her skills in ceramics with her expertise in creating memorable and impactful opportunities for young people in a way that is unique to our kids workshops.

Cancellations & Refunds

If the organiser cancels the class:

You are entitled to a full refund.

If you can't attend the class:

You’re welcome to send someone in your place.

OR

  • A refund can be requested 14 days before class starts. Free of charge.
  • A transfer can be requested 7 days before the class starts. Free of charge.
  • A credit note can be requested 14 days before the class starts. Free of charge.

No changes will be allowed after these times.

Terms & Conditions

Additional Terms for 1-day workshops:

  • For transfers within 7 – 2 days of a 1-day workshop, there will be an admin fee of $20/person. 
  • No transfers or refunds within 48 hours of a 1-day workshop.
