Join 4th generation dumpling maker Angie Chong in a hands-on dumpling workshop - bringing people and food together around a shared table.
In this class you will learn where to source the best ingredients, how to prepare your own dough and fillings, and how to roll, wrap, cook and eat your own dumplings!
Come together over a drink or two and share in a delicious meal of freshly made dumplings with newly made friends.

I come from a family where food is considered “The First Happiness”. I learnt to cook from my mother, Elizabeth Chong, celebrity chef, TV personality, food writer and teacher. She had learnt from her father who invented the DimSim in the 1940’s. I am also a trained chef instructor having taught Asian Cooking at William Angliss Institute for nearly 20yrs.
I love dumplings – preparing them, cooking them and eating them. But dumplings are designed to be shared, so my new business ‘The Humble Dumpling’ is for all lovers of these little parcels that dot the heart.
This class was awesome. Angie was great, very friendly and helpful. It was very hands on and everything was very clearly explained.
Angie was the best teacher! Knowledgable, patient & everything was explained & demonstrated beautifully! Highly recommend anyone taking this class if interested in learning to make dumplings from the master!
Good night, got to learn about different cooking techniques and fillings. Only issue was that you only got to prepare part of the process (either making the dough or one of the fillings). Friendly teacher. 3.5/5 stars
