Description

Anya Brock is fast becoming known throughout Australia for her sultry portraits and expressive animal and bird paintings. Using a form of abstract expressionism and experimental styles of painting, Anya manages to create figurative paintings with depth and emotion.

In this painting workshop ‘Animal Paint Face ’ Anya will show people how to paint tonally and loosen up your work through experimentation and expressionistic exercises. The class will be about mark making and how to bring a painting together while maintaining a level of carefreeness and joy!

AniPainting should not be torturous. Anya will also discuss the psychology behind creating and allow people to gain a different perspective on their work and life. It’ll be messy so wear painting clothes!

About Anya Brock

Anya found her way to painting through fashion. Owning a label for 6 years then working for high end designers Christopher Kane and Richard Nicoll in London for two years, Anya had an epiphanous moment, realising she was happiest when painting. Armed with this knowledge Anya returned to Perth in 2010 to paint and exhibit. Expanding into large scale murals in 2012, Anya relocated to Bondi in 2013 and set up shop in Paddington.

Now running a gallery in Sydney and Perth and painting in studios in both cities too, Anya has also launched a homewares line and is gaining recognition nationally and internationally.
