What to Bring

  • A willingness to be inverted, to try something new for the first time and the ability to have FUN!!

What to Wear

  • You don’t need any yoga experience or yoga attire. Just wear comfortable clothes that don’t restrict abdominal movements and comfortable footwear.

  • Absolute beginners are welcome.

Description

This is a foundational workshop that introduces the full spectrum of AcroYoga – yoga, acrobatics, inversions and partner flying. Tightness drills, partner inversion training, spotting and core work will be implemented to lay the foundation for a powerful sequence of flying postures.

The class will develop strength in partnership and in community. Working together, everyone will alternate between giving and receiving, coaching and supporting. Each and every person’s level of integrity, strength and endurance will rise as we work together, and have a partner there to witness and positively challenge us

About Angela Mitchell

Angela’s mantra is inspired by her favourite quote: “Sometimes your joy is the source of your smile, but sometimes your smile can be the source of your joy”. Applying this to life and to yoga, makes Angela’s dream simple: to help people achieve their goals with a lighthearted approach, a smile and an invitation to explore freedom.

Angela’s fun-loving energy is ever-present as she creates an environment that fuses her passion for the body and love of movement with a drop of healthy competition. Angela encourages each individual to let go of thought and embrace feeling. Feel freedom in movement on the mat, and then take it out to the world.

Discovering this freedom has seen Angela come out of her shell, liberating herself from the corporate life. Holding a Bachelor degree from the University of Technology Sydney and a qualified Accountant (CPA), Angela has transformed the hours behind a desk into hours of studying the powerful trio that exists within all of us: the body, mind and spirit.

A student fresh off the block, Angela completed her 200hr Yoga Teacher Training with Nicole Walsh in 2014. She has also completed her Cert.III and Cert.IV in Fitness with recognition as the ultimate “Energizer” by the Australian Institute of Fitness.

Great intro to acro yoga! I was pleasantly surprised to discover how rewarding it was to be the base, not just the flyer.
