Crochet is the new black! Vesna from Minnie Crochet will sit shoulder to shoulder with you to learn how to hold hook and yarn and follow a basic pattern to create a simple granny square in this Crochet for Beginners class. These timeless and classic motifs form the basis of many items you can wear, including scarves and bags. They can also be made into stylish cushions and snuggly blankets to decorate your home. Sit, learn and chat while you learn your new hobby!
About Minnie Crochet
Minnie Crochet evolved in 2012 from a mother and daughter’s combined love for handmade. With clever hands and lots of patience, Vesna and her mother Draga, lovingly create beautiful handmade toys and décor items.
Their toys are frequently selected as that special toy that children will keep for a lifetime. They also make a range of vintage and boho inspired crochet clothing including halter tops, ponchos and foot accessories, to cater for fashion and bridal markets and props for newborn photography.
Vesna and Draga are particularly proud of winning a tender in 2013 to supply Tourism Australia with their handmade crochet Koala Ken. He is a delightful little Aussie who has won many hearts, and while he has been gifted to many and travelled the world, he still likes to call Australia his favourite home.
Vesna has been a regular at many of Adelaide’s premier hand made markets since 2012. Realising that not everyone has the opportunity to learn yarn crafts from mothers and grandmothers, Vesna regularly teaches crochet for beginners as well as more experienced students. Vesna likes to keep class sizes small so everyone has an opportunity to sit shoulder to shoulder to learn in a relaxing and fun atmosphere.
