ABOUT YOUR TEACHER

Jeff Donne, AKA the Spoonsmith, is one of Australia's best known spoon carvers with many years of carving and teaching under his belt. He teaches the traditional method of spoon carving where a small axe and a sharp knife are used to slice away layers of wood from a freshly cut log. Jeff is one of only a handful of full time spoons carvers in Australia, and his roving Spoon School has inspired hundreds of fledgling spoonies to pick up a stick and a knife and delve into some happy slowness. Check out Jeff and his spoons at www.spoonsmith.com.au or on Instagram using @thespoonsmith
