This workshop is for everyone who loves food, cooking and drawing; for all you foodies, crafters, artists, creators, and kitchen masters. Over the course of 1,5/2* hours, you will create a beautiful range of some yummy illustrated ingredients or your favourite dish.
The class starts off with different warm-up drawing exercises, and a brief introduction to the variety of art techniques we'll be working with; drawing, watercolours & collaging. We'll also touch on what makes a great picture; how to arrange your ingredients on your page, as well as the use of text and colour. Everyone will have plenty of time to work on their personal recipe, with the opportunity to get for one-on-one feedback.
Join, have some fun and turn your recipe in a beautiful cookbook-worthy illustration!
About the tutor:
Malou Zuidema is a Dutch illustrator and designer who creates colourful illustrations with a hand-made feel and a touch of quirky. She's lived in various places around the wold, having worked in Amsterdam, Hobart, New York City, and now Sydney. Her personal work is often the results of random scribble drawings and playful collages. She believes that playfulness is what creating is all about; having a great time and going home with something new, something that you didn’t know you could create before. Besides her freelance projects she sells her illustrations as cards and prints online and at different markets. For more of her work visit her website: www.malouzuidema.com
