This three-hour DIY pinhole camera workshop is perfect for fledgling shutterbugs. This introductory class will see your little tyke turning found and recycled objects into functioning cameras. Using black and white photographic techniques, a mini darkroom, and simple chemistry, they’ll immerse themselves in the fundamentals of photography through light capture. The budding paparazzi will experiment with unique pinhole cameras, playing with long exposure techniques to photograph objects, themselves, and each other. Teacher Jess will work with each child to perfect their cameras and equip them with the skills to keep snapping at home. Participants may optionally bring their own hollow objects to turn into cameras, though all materials are provided. They’ll leave the class with their new camera, developed photos, new friendships and fun memories. Let us wow your kids with the science, art, and magic of light.
Your bambini will develop fun skills, hang out with other cool kids and be inspired to never stop making. Tickets are limited to 15 per session, so your children will receive group and one-on-one instruction from a dedicated teacher who can answer any and all questions they might have. Kit your kids with killer skills and they’ll be the talk of the playground.
All instructors have undergone a police check and hold a current Working With Children Check. Classes limited to 15 students aged strictly between 7-12. Work-Shop must be advised in writing of any allergies prior to class. Please note there will be no food provided.
