Learn how to make a beautiful coiled baskets made from naturally dyed and sustainable raffia! Participants will learn the fundamentals of hand stitching around a core whilst adding various colours and textures (coiling). This short course is ideal for those with busy lifestyles through the week and are looking for time out for themselves to enjoy creating their own basket.
You’ll learn basic basket making techniques including how to make a slip knot and then stitch around it to form the centre of a circle, how to use texture, thickness and tension to achieve different results and how to finish off your basket.
Come along and join in for lots of laughter and creativity. No two baskets are ever the same!

Brisbane based Designer + Maker Aimee is the creative force behind The Eddies Studio. One of Aimee’s staple crafts is statement earring and jewellery making.
With a degree in The Arts, immersing herself around flowers and a love for all DIY, Aimee found herself holding crafternoons for friends and family which soon followed by the creation of The Eddies Studio.
The Eddies Studio host a variety of constantly changing workshops and event experiences which they customise for private gatherings such as birthdays, hens party, baby showers and corporate events.

Work-Shop requires 48 hours notice in writing prior to the class for a full refund or transfer. Refunds and transfers will not be processed if cancellation occurs within 48 hours of the event commencing. If you do miss this window, earn some extra karma points and give your ticket to one of your buddies. We’ll do our darndest to run all scheduled classes, however, let’s face it… sometimes shit happens! Most of our classes must have a minimum of 5 participants before we can put them on. In the event that a class is cancelled, students will be notified via text message or email and entitled to a full refund or credit.
Anyone partaking in any classes or coming to any events at Work-Shop or organised by Work-Shop must agree to these terms and conditions.

2.) PHOTO & VIDEO
I agree to give Work-Shop unrestricted publishing rights for any photographs or videos taken at Work-Shop classes and events or on Work-Shop’s premises. (Don’t worry, we’ll only these use to show others how much of a rad time you’re having through social media, newsletters, blogs, website and general Work-Shop promo material)
