Upholstery and Soft Furnishing
Description
Reinvigorate that tired piece of furniture while learning a new skill.
Our professional upholsterer will guide you through the basics and give you the skills and confidence to tackle a range of projects. Students will be introduced to a variety of techniques, depending on their chosen projects. Some of the possible skills learnt are: re-springing, webbing, stripping, foundations and finishing sewing. Materials are not included in the class fee, sourcing suitable supplies will be covered in class. Students will need to bring a piece of furniture they wish to restore. There is no storage available between classes.
Class fee includes $15 membership to Canterbury Neighbourhood Centre

- Expert tuition from an experienced teacher and all the skills need to transform old furniture.
What to bring
- A piece of furniture for upholstering and closed toed shoes. Other materaisl such as fabic will be required however turor will advise in class.

The Canterbury Neighbourhood Centre is a not-for-profit organisation which offers educational, recreational and social support activities for all of the community. The centre was established in 1981 and is directed by a voluntary Committee of Management made up of local interested residents.

If you can't attend the class:
- A refund can be requested 5 days before class starts. An admin fee of AU$15.00 applies.
