Street photography walk

Description

“Great street photography should say something about life”, Iwona Pinkowicz

Probably my favorite class of all… We will walk through the CBD, and work on documenting life on the streets of Melbourne.

You are a photographer who would like to improve his/her skills in a fast pace environment: you already know how to use your camera, and Cartier-Bresson or Doisneau’s candid shots make you dream. The class will help you overcome your fears of taking pictures of people you don’t know, and we will speak about efficient composition!

If you are a newbie to photography (but you know how to use the Aperture mode), and would like to improve your pictures in a friendly, not-too-technical environment, this is the class for you! It is also the perfect class for photographers who want to improve their travel photography skills, and photographers who want to learn the basics of creating a series

The class lasts for 3 hours, going from theory to practice, to train your eye and help you become a better photographer. To make the most of the lesson, there are never more than 5 participants. Like this everyone can ask questions, and there is plenty of time one-by-one with the teacher. The next day, you receive two ebooks via email: a general booklet to inspire you to create more beautiful images, and motivate you to get out there with your camera; and a second booklet that is always different. I summarize everyone's questions (it can be about the technique, the composition, the creativity...), and give simple answers. This is the best way to make the most of the class.

This walk is more than just a class, it is a shared project I would like to start with the students, to then create a book that presents life in the city. Who’s in?
