Philosophy

life’s a feast is passionate about food and cooking, and is of the belief that the ultimate compliment you can pay anyone is to prepare them a meal from the heart. It is our experience that many people associate cooking and entertaining with stress, hard work and very little reward. But it doesn’t have to be that way – we believe that preparing a meal and having guests should be a joy, not a chore. In line with this philosophy, our recipes and menus have been developed with the following in mind:

1. High “wow” factor, low effort

2. Use of seasonal and local ingredients wherever possible

3. Recipes are all designed to be easy to follow and prepare, so you will easily be able to recreate them at home.

04 December 2019 • Moroccan Magic Cooking Class

I had the pleasure of attending the Moroccan Magic cooking class with Gail at Life's a Feast. It was a fun filled day of learning about spices and new cooking techniques. Gail welcomes you into her home you start with a lovely morning tea, homemade muffins and a great coffee, you meet the other participants and have a run down on what you learn for the day. Everyone has a go at chopping, mixing, stirring and cooking. At the end you sit down and enjoy the fruits of your labour with a lovely glass of wine. Gail is extremely knowledge and helpful, You leave with a recipe folder and the ability to recreate what you have learnt at home. I look forward to doing another class with Gail in 2020.
