Course tutors:

Jess Dybing is in her 3rd year studying ceramics at RMIT and has a love for all things clay. Jess’s practice is focused on glaze chemistry and altering surface decoration through raw ingredients and firing schedules. She has been wheel throwing for around 4 years and loves sharing this passion with others. To see examples of her work click here.

Georgina Yen Qin Lee is an emerging ceramicist based in Naarm / Melbourne, Australia. Her practice explores the intersections between form and function, creating pieces that can standalone as objects to be appreciated aesthetically, but also fulfill a functional purpose.

In her works, Georgina leans into the unpredictable moments of the ceramic making process by applying a considered yet incidental approach to shaping the clay on a potter’s wheel and intuitive methods of mark-making and glazing to create truly one-off pieces.

Georgina is an Australian-born Chinese Malaysian with ancestry from China's Fujian province. She seeks to honour the long lineage of ceramic culture and tradition of her heritage, passing on their stories whilst exploring the new.
