Wheel Throwing Class


Description

Bob Greaves OAM, has taught at Monash University Frankston Campus for the past 40 years.  He will introduce you to the basic nature of clay wedging, centering on the wheel and how to use your tools.


You will be taught to make the foundation forms of cylinders ad bowls, how to finish your work by turning and trimming.


The class  size is small so you can develop your skills ad find your individual style and learn at your own pace.

What you will learn

  • You will learn how to throw the perfect pot. How to centre clay to make basic forms such as cylinders and bowls. Trimming and under glazing skills. Students will be notified once work has been bisque fired and ready to collect.

  • Everything is provided, but please bring an apron and a towel.

What to wear

You can wear anything you like that you don't mind getting dirty.

Cancellations & Refunds

If the organiser cancels the class:

You are entitled to a full refund.

If you can't attend the class:

  • A refund can be requested 7 days before class starts. An admin fee of AU$10.00 applies.
  • A transfer can be requested 7 days before the class starts. Free of charge.
  • A credit note can be requested 7 days before the class starts. Free of charge.

No changes will be allowed after these times.

Anyone partaking in any classes or coming to any events at Oak Hill Community Arts Cooperative Ltd or organised by Oak Hill Community Arts Cooperative Ltd must agree to these terms and conditions.

I agree to take on full responsibility for any damages, injuries and for physical and/or personal property, which I might incur whilst participating in classes and/or events organised by Oak Hill Community Arts Cooperative Ltd

2.) PHOTO & VIDEO

I agree to give Oak Hill Community Arts Cooperative Ltd unrestricted publishing rights for any photographs or videos taken at Oak Hill Community Arts Cooperative Ltd  classes and events or on Oak Hill Community Arts Cooperative Ltd premises. (For use of Oak Hill Community Arts Cooperative Ltd marketing materials).
