Description

If you love the look of embroidery and hand stitching, isn't it time you learnt how to do it? We'll teach you a range of traditional stitches and how to use them in contemporary work. This class is intended to be fun and offer you an opportunity to embroider for the first time.  What you do with your new skills is then limited only by your imagination. 

Date: Monday 15 and Monday 29  January 2018  Time: 10:00am-12:30pm

About the tutor: Zara Parker is an accomplished artist/maker in several different crafts, and is a photographer by training. She teaches a number of courses at Opendrawer, and also helps out with our in-store activities.

What to bring
  • Basic sewing kit if you have one (range of needles, pins, small scissors with a sharp point, thimble if you use one)
  • Embroidery Hoop (8 inch/20cm approximately)
  • Embroidery threads, if you have them
  • Notebook and pen or pencil

Refund & Cancellation Policy

If for any reason you decide that the workshop you have done or are doing does not suit you, then that is a personal decision and no refund will be given.

If Opendrawer cancels a workshop, you will be given a full refund or can choose a replacement workshop to the same value as the workshop being cancelled. You will be notified at least 2 days before the due date of the workshop if cancellation is necessary due to insufficient enrolments.

Terms & Conditions

A $10 admin fee applies to all changes of date/workshop bookings.

Cancellations made within two weeks of the booked workshop will forfeit 50% of the advertised fee - or you may find a replacement student.

Cancellations made within 24 hours of the workshop will forfeit the full advertised fee - or you may find a replacement student.

If for any reason you decide that the workshop you have done or are doing does not suit you, then that is a personal decision and no refund will be given.

A minimum of five people are required for a workshop to run. Opendrawer reserves the right to cancel a workshop if the minimum booking is not achieved. Full refunds will be given or a replacement workshop offered to the same value as the workshop being cancelled. You will be notified at least 2 days before the due date of the workshop if cancellation is deemed necessary. Unfortunately, due to the workshop timetable, no makeup classes are available.
