Make your Own Soft Containers

Next Available: Fri, 19 Jan 1:00PM

Description

In this workshop you can create beautiful and useful soft containers. Creative hold-alls are a great way to use up all your precious scraps of fabric. These soft containers can be used to hold so many items, from balls of wool and craft projects to hot bread rolls and drinks for a picnic.

In a relaxed and enjoyable studio workshop, you will learn and make the soft containers and explore adapting the design to make a small shopping tote bag.

Date: Friday 19 January 2018  Time: 1:00pm-4:30pm

Class fee: $79 includes materials.

Materials list: Bring your own sewing machine. All other materials provided.

About the tutor: All her life, Helen Richards has had a love affair with fabrics, textiles and cloth. She has extensive professional experience as a maker, crafter and teacher in the creative disciplines - design, craft and art, and textile design - as a graphic designer, lecturer, business owner and educator, and practitioner. She has been designing and making quilts and textiles for more than 20 years, finding patchwork and textiles endlessly engaging and appealing. So many possibilities of colour, pattern, texture, tone and mood!
