Rest in Pieces presents the Art of Taxidermy, a talk and skinning demonstration with founder Natalie Delaney-John. The evening offers an opportunity to gain unique insights into this age-old practice that remains macabre to some, yet strangely beautiful to others.


Natalie will speak about the practice and history of taxidermy in an illustrated talk followed by a skinning demonstration. This workshop is not for the squeamish, but will fascinate those with a healthy curiosity and an open mind.


You can also pre-order a DIY Revival Kit so that you can begin your RIP taxidermy journey in the comfort of your own home.

Natalie Delaney-John has traveled far and wide to learn the art of taxidermy and has been mentored by some of the world's best and most awarded taxidermists. She is the proud founder of Rest in Pieces, which launched Australia's first taxidermy workshops, conducts talks and has just released the Revival Kit so that you can learn this beautiful art in the comfort of your own home.


In 2016 the R.I.P team expanded to bring you Skeletal Articulation and Intermediate Taxidermy classes. Next year is set to see the team expand even further with the addition of Death Moth Entomology classes, a Taxidermy Taster class and Advanced classes.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

We understand that sometimes you just can't make a class. The best thing to do is to
contact us as soon as you can to let us know. If you give us 2 weeks notice, we can
offer to transfer you to the next scheduled class. This will incur a $10 admin fee.


If you need to cancel, with two weeks notice or more we will refund the full price of the
workshop, minus $50 booking fee, less than two weeks and we will refund 50% minus
$50 booking fee.


Unfortunately we wont be able to offer refunds for cancellations or transfers received
last minute - the day before the workshop or on the day of the workshop.

Anyone partaking in any classes or coming to any events at Rest in Pieces or organised by Rest in Pieces must agree to these terms and conditions.

1.) LIABILITY WAIVER

I agree to take on full responsibility for any damages, injuries and for physical and/or personal property, which I might incur whilst participating in classes and/or events organised by Rest in Pieces.

2.) PHOTO & VIDEO

I agree to give Rest in Pieces unrestricted publishing rights for any photographs or videos taken at Rest in Pieces classes and events or on Rest in Pieces's premises. (For use of Rest in Pieces marketing materials).

3.) REFUNDS

4.) CANCELLATIONS

In the event that a class is cancelled, students will be notified via text message or email and entitled to a full refund or credit.

Nat's talk was insightful, fun and really engaging, I really enjoyed hearing about her experiences starting out and how she's wanting to make the industry more welcoming. Really great night and will definatly book tickets the next time Rip is in Canberra.

I took my wife to see the talk and demo as a birthday present for her, and since we are both avid collectors of taxidermy pieces. We both had a great night! It was so nice to have this come to Canberra, where we usually have to travel a fair distance to find something like it. Nat was a wonderful speaker, her talk was heartfelt and honest, really eye opening about how she started off and what led her up to this point. The demo was lighthearted, and a really nice introduction for first timers who, like myself, may have been a little worried about watching something get skinned up close for the first time! I would love to go to more events like this, and my wife and I will definitely be keeping an eye out for more classes from Rest in Pieces near us in the future! <3
